Welcome to Regina KidSport™
The mission of KidSport™ is to increase the accessibility of sporting opportunities to financially disadvantaged children so that these children may achieve mental, physical, social and personal development through participation in community sport programs.
KidSport™ is a Children's Charity dedicated to assisting children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs. The KidSport™ goal is to provide these children with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of teamwork, dedication and responsibility through participation in sport.
KidSport™ strives to ensure that 100 per cent of donations and fundraising proceeds are directed to KidSport™ children. This is made possible through the generous support of local and provincial sponsors. Funds raised are directed in the form of grants to individual children or to KidSport™ programs. Individual grants ranging up to $300 are available to children up to the age of eighteen. Program funding may also be available to sport organizations and youth agencies targeting KidSport™ children. Upon approval of the KidSport™ Application Form, funds are sent directly to the sport organization on behalf of the family who applied for financial assistance.
All applications are screened by an approval committee to ensure the financial need and legitimacy of the applicant. KidSport™ policies require that at least one of the following individuals endorse the application: a school teacher, principal, or community school worker; a professional in social work or family services; a law enforcement officer; a member of the clergy; or a recreation administrator.
